While many people enjoy various cuisines from different countries, junk food seems to have its own place when it comes down to international approval.
Korean youths were given a variety of American junk food and were asked to rate each item on a scale from one to ten. While a few of the participants gave relatively high ratings to some of these “foods”, many found American junk food detestable. Some even made comments such as:
When it melts in my mouth, it kinda feels like I’m eating belly fat (after eating Goldfish crackers)
If I had a napkin, I’d spit it out (after eating a Twizzler)
With all of the GMO’s, preservatives, and artificial coloring and flavorings in American food, it’s no wonder why foreigners have a general dislike for American junk food.
